This pond has gone through many different phases. This client originally had a landscaper build a pond in this area. Some unfortunate construction practices were used, so this client contacted us to do it right.

We came in and rebuilt the waterfall (added biofalls), added a skimmer and rerocked the whole thing. Basically starting from scratch. They were thrilled and the pond lived like this for a few years.

This client decided they were interested in wetland filtration for this pond. We designed an upper pond that is actually a wetland filter as well. The deeper wetland lends itself well for this application. It adds a whole new fish habitat, keeps the water temps in check during peak summer heat, and adds tremendous visual interest.
