This client wanted to create a natural ecosystem to house pet ducks. Ducks are messy animals and need lots of room so we opted to construct a mud bottom or (earthen) pond. To address the mess, we added an intake bay and build a 20ft meandering stream. This achieved adding oxygen to the water to help the natural process of decomposition. It also achieved skimming surface debris to one location for ease of removal.
